Aria Pro II Magna Series MA-36 Pink Burst 1998

Aria Pro II Magna Series MA-36 Pink Burst 1998

Aria Pro II Magna Series MA-36, made in Korea 1998, pink burst. I saw this one pop up for sale in Japan and knew I had to buy it for the store, it's just so cool The Magna series were an early 90s 'superstrat' style offering from Aria; there were several varieties in the line line offering various hardware combos. This one is one of the more classic Strat-style offerings, with a simple trem and a cute HSS pickup set. The neck is a slim, quick shallow C shape with a lovely slab of rosewood for the board and some gorgeous curly maple grain on the back. It's seriously quick in the hands, and with the slim body and easy access neck joint, you can get all the way up to that 24th fret in record time. Tone-wise, you get a pretty convincing deep, polnky Strat tone from the neck and middle pickups, while the splittable bridge humbucker doles out a creamy, angular growl that loves a dose of distortion. Now, I hardly need to mention the finish really, but here goes: purple to pink pearl burst with gold hardware is the stuff dreams are made of, simple as that.

The front has no major marks, just some light scuffs around the outside of the whole body, no major marks. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear, they're in great order 8/10 for fret life left. Setup with fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
