Bacchus Craft Series BJB-65C Sunburst 2009

Bacchus Craft Series BJB-65C, sunburst finish, made in Japan 2009. We love Bacchus basses around here, they're such satisfying instruments. This one dates to 2009 and references the classic Jazz Bass models of the mid 1960s. You get a slim, fast neck with fretboard binding and block inlays, paired with a lightweight alder body and the classic sunburst/tort combo. It looks super slick, but it plays even better. Bacchus always do good woodwork, so this really adds up in the hands: gorgeous lightly flamed neck, centre join resonant body, super tidy frets and finish... lovely. The tone is great too: it's tuneful and agreeable with a fat fundamental note, a fast attack and a nice little snarl when you dig in hard. The tone control has a little passive turbo boost on a push/pull switch, which sends both pickups straight to the jack for a bit of extra oomph when you're feeling saucy. This is a great bass for a busy player, it's an understated little overachiever.
