Crowther Audio Hot Cake Overdrive Pedal
I'm from New Zealand, so I wanted to like this out of solidarity. Fortunately, Mr Crowther has made it easy for me, because this is very good. It's a thick and rich drive, with slightly unconventional controls. The drive can be run at zero for a clean boost, or wound in for a full, juicy growl that doesn't mess up your EQ curve too much. The presence control doesn't so much add treble as it does midrange punch. Choice as, cuz.
