DOD FX54 Attacker Compressor/Distortion Pedal
Time for some honesty: I mostly bought this because it has a funny name. But, it's also an intriguing concept. You get an OTA-based compressor, as well as a wide ranging distortion, in one box. The blurb says you can do 'warm Larry Carlton' tones or more aggressive liquid lead stuff like Satriani if you use them together, as the addition of the comp means you can add big thick signing sustain to your dirt. You can also dial down the distortion and use it as a compressor, or dial off the compressor and use it just as a distortion. But also.... ATTACKER is a funny name, and that's gotta count for something, right?
