Fender 50th Anniversary Stratocaster Sunburst 2004
Fender 50th Anniversary Strat, sunburst, made in USA 2004. It's hard to overstate the influence of the Stratocaster on both modern music and the guitar as an instrument. Launching in 1954, the ideas were huge at the time: three pickups, double cutaway body for superior comfort and balance, comfy quick neck and the innovative vibrato bridge made for an instrument like never seen before. This limited run model was made to commemorate fifty years of the model, so you get a special neck plate, a fancy gold lined case, extra docs, and some very nice Custom Shop pickups. It's got the vintage combo of a swamp ash body and a maple neck, but with a modern two point tremolo and a 9.5" radius fretboard. The pickups are Fat 50s single coils, and they're a delight: juicy and weighty down low, sweet and thick through the mids, chirpy and articulate up top. Every switch position is enjoyable, it's such a delight to hear. This is a fantastic Strat, it's super enjoyable.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples on the end and edges. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and rub wear on the back only. The back has minor dents and a scratch on the top horn, scuffs on the bottom horn, dimples and scuffs in the elbow area and back edge and a small chip and some dimples on the bottom edge. The sides have scuffs on the top horn, a chip, some small dents and scuffs in the elbow area, scuffs near the jack and a couple of dents on the bottom horn. The front has dents along the top edge in the elbow area and top horn, scuffs and dimples along the back edge and some play wear on the guard and horns.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 Moonshiners strings.
