Fender '69 Reissue Mustang Yellow-White Anime Graphics 2004-052004

Fender '69 Reissue Mustang Yellow-White Anime Graphics 2004-052004

Fender '69 Reissue Mustang, yellow white, crafted in Japan 2004-05. Here's something a little different for you. The pickguard and pickup covers on this have a custom vinyl decal applied, which would be removable fairly easily if desired. The graphics feature a character called Haruna, a magical girl who fights evil creatures with a pink chainsaw (only in Japan right!?) in a show called Kore wa Zombie Desu ka (english: Is This a Zombie?). It's certainly striking, and if you're the kind of performer who enjoys who thrives on the 'love me or hate me but you can't ignore me' approach, this might be a winner for you. It's also a very good guitar, which helps! The yellow-white finish looks amazing, and the plonky, warm signature-Mustang tone is instantly charming. The Mustang tremolo is very user friendly, and the short scale and skinny neck combine for a basically-effortless playing experience. This is cool, and for the right player, it's a superb and eye-catching gig machine.

Model: Fender Mustang, '69 Reissue (MG69)
Made: Japan, 2004-05 (CIJ, serial R033287)
Finish: yellow white (YWH), guard and covers have vinyl decal applied
Body: basswood
Neck: maple with rosewood board, 24" scale, 7.25" radius
Mods: pickup covers and pickguard have decal with custom graphics
Pickups: Fender Japan MG Vintage single coils
Case: basic gig bag

Cosmetic condition notes: negligible finish wear. There's a handful of very minor dimples on the body if you look extremely closely, and the bridge and tuners have some minor pitting. Basically it's almost mint. Overall: excellent condition (9/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear but heaps of height in them, 6.5/10 for life left.
