Fender Japan '57 Reissue Precision Bass Modded Black 2010/11

Fender Japan '57 Reissue Precision Bass Modded Black 2010/11

Fender '57 P, crafted in Japan 2010/11, black. This is a very cool looking bass. The standard white guard and chrome hardware has been switched out; it's now wearing a cool tort guard and some black-chrome hardware. The bridge is a high-mass Gotoh model; adding a bit of attack and definition. That adds to the bright, clear tone typical of a maple-board Precision; this cuts through a mix perfectly without sacrificing 'thump'. The maple board feels and looks great too, it lends a little flair to an otherwise pretty traditional shape. This is a perfect bass for punk/hardcore, although it'll easily take on whatever you throw at it. Sleek!

Model: Fender Precision Bass '57 Reissue, PB57
Made: Japan, 2010-11, Tokai plant (serial U045670)
Finish: black, 4-ply tort guard
Body: basswood
Weight: 4.1kg approx
Neck: maple with maple board, dot inlays
Mods: pickguard, machine heads, knobs and bridge (Gotoh high-mass) exchanged
Pickup: Fender Japan PB-Single
Case: basic gig bag

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's some very light dimples and scratches on the back in the 'buckle rash' zone, as well as some very light play-wear and dimples on the front. Really not much to note. Overall: excellent condition (8.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets look good, minor wear only, 7/10 for life left. Set up with fresh 45/105s.
