Friedman Dirty Shirley Mini 20w Head & 1x12" Cab Guitar Amp
Oh heck, this is such a gorgeous little machine. Dave Friedman is doing some of the best Marshall-flavoured amps anywhere. This is the pocket-sized version of the Dirty Shirley, so you get a 20w head and a 1x12" 16ohm cab. It's single channel, like all JTM45-style amps ought to be. There's a cool little three way gain structure switch, so you can go from pretty clean to pretty dirty using that and the gain/master knobs. The impressive thing with this is the enormous tone. It's got that thick, percussive punch typical of a proper vintage Plexi. There's a weighty, tight low end that fills out chords perfectly. It's bright, but not harsh; there's a gorgeous singing warmth to the top end and so much nuance and clarity through the mids it's a little alarming, frankly. This is unbelievably good, I really love it. Top marks Dave.
