Gibson Les Paul Studio Modded with Bigsby Vintage Mahogany Burst 2006
Gibson LP Studio, 2006, modded with a Bigbsy and more. This is an absolutely stunning item, it absolutely oozes class and luxury. Some digging hasn't yet revealed what Gibson called this finish; it may have been a limited run thing or possibly even a refinish; although there's no evidence to suggest the finish is not original. It looks similar to the 'violin burst' Greco did in the 80s, but it's more red... anyway, it looks awesome! The Bigsby has been fitted on a Vibramate system that means there's no extra holes: you can easily go back to the standard stoptail piece (included) if you want to. The plastic parts have been replaced with rosewood parts; it's a really nice sleek look that's subtle but eye-catching. This is an early-2006 model, so it's totally unchambered and therefore carries the signature LP heft. That extra weight lends you a thick, warm, rich tone: there's a lot of mahogany working for you here. The unusual mods all makes sense when this is in your hands, it all just feels right. This is one classy LP, it really stands out from the pack!

Mods: Bigsby B7 vibrato tailpice installed, with Vibramate V7 drill-free system so as to be totally reversible. Knobs, guard, switch and pickup surrounds, electronics and truss rod covers all replaced with rosewood parts.
Pickups: original Gibson 490R (neck) and 498T (bridge) humbuckers
Case: deluxe brown LP hardcase, pink lining, great condition
Bonuses: original plastic guard, knobs, surrounds, covers, original bridge and tailpiece all included. Box and manual for Bigsby also included.
Cosmetic condition notes: negligible finish wear. There's a handful of very minor dimples around the body, barely anything really. Overall: excellent condition.
Playing condition notes: Neck is straight, action is low, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have minor wear, but there's heaps of life in them 8/10. No headstock breaks. Delicious stuff!
