Roland Cube 40 1x10" Guitar Combo Amp

Roland Cube 40 1x10" Guitar Combo Amp

The Roland Cube line of amps debuted in 1978 and went on to become the biggest selling amps in the world for a while there. This one was made in January 1979, which makes it a pretty early example indeed. The reverb is currently not working, otherwise it's in pretty great shape for an older amp, all the pots are clean and it sounds everything works a treat. The tone on offer is typically Roland: thick and snappy, heaps of dynamic range, plonky bass... great as a pedal platform or clean amp. The dirty channel isn't too bad,  although it won't scare a good tube amp.

Model: Roland Cube 40
Made: Japan, Jan 1979 (serial 783444)
Output: 40 watts
Power: 240v (Australia/NZ)
Speaker: 10" speaker
Channels: 1, two inputs for clean/dirty
Finish: 'white' tolex, grey grill
Mods: none
Weight: 9.9kg
Extras included: none
Note: the reverb currently doesn't work

Condition notes: minor cosmetic wear. There's a decent small tear in the tolec on the top near the handle, as well as a few light scuffs around the body. Note the reverb isn't functional. Overall: good condition (7/10)
