Used Fender Jazzmaster '66 Reissue Black Modded
Fender Jazzmaster '66 reissue in gloss black with grey oyster guard, CIJ 99-02. This guy is looking classy with it's aftermarket guard and aged cream plastics; it's got a real aesthetic charm. The pickups are a pair of Seymour Duncan SJM-2 Hot Jazzmaster models, which are an overwound pancake-style single coil. They're a slightly hotter and mid-bumped version of a traditional JM pickup, so they lend the guitar a really sweet mix of bite and body; they're brighter than the stock Fender models too. The neck is a nudge chunkier than other MIJ JMs we've had, it's feels excellent in the hands and is especially well suited to big rhythm parts. The offset shape is hard to beat for balance and comfort, it's totally understandable why people love these so much. Guitars this cool usually don't last long!

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's a handful of minor dimples around the body, really nothing worth mentioning. There's some scratches near the rear strap pin. Chrome and plastics have discoloured a little with age, nothing major. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Setup with 11/49 strings and playing very nicely indeed.
